my gARDEN

Haere mai...welcome....come on in...

The world's wussiest Gardener...

Some of us, who should not be outside, exposed to the elements, in any way, have decided to be Gardeners.
As a  child my parents had a  veggie garden that filled the back yard.  I remember walking through the tall rows gathering vegetables for my twin brothers baby food and then, a year later, my sister's.
After a few years they got to busy and stopped gardening. but the image of that garden  lurks in my mind and is where my love of gardening began.

I have always tried to make a garden where ever I've lived, inside and out.

You don't have to be rich.

Go for walks, bring home things like drift wood, stones, and feathers.  Ask for cuttings from other peoples gardens and if they are hanging over the fence, take them.

Re-use, re-purpose and recycle plastic and glass.

Painted stones are also lovely to discover in the garden.
A garden on the windowsill is still a garden
Fairy Refuge to rehome nature spirits who have been made homeless by all the development in the bush creating all the new roads.

I believe nature is magic and gardens are magical places that should be filled with beautiful and practical things to welcome the nature spirits in along with the wildlife.

Bird feeders, bug hotels, Garden sculpture, bird boxes and Fairy refuges.  Wind chimes and mobiles hanging from the trees.

Art created from natural, found, re-purposed and re-cycled materials.
Creating tiny gardens that can fit anywhere.
Carvings that can go on the fence or outside the house.  This one is a triptych called "Matariki over Kapiti"
